A midsummer wedding at the historical D.A.R. headquarters

If you've ever been to a wedding at the historical D.A.R. headquarters then you know how right I am when I say, "beautiful!"  This is a favorite location for a D.C. wedding ceremony due to the portico (where most vows are exchanged) having the Washington monument in the background.

The Devers Group was called in to create a romantic setting while accenting the beautiful architecture of the building.  Accent we did!  With fluted columns, ficus trees planted in urns with fresh cascading ferns, this wedding decor truly added to the beauty of the evening.  After the ceremony we relocated these items to the perimeter of the portico for additional reception decor.

As the guests dined in the O'Byrne Gallery, they enjoyed centerpieces featuring large open calla lilies, hot pink roses, and a soft pink gerbera daisy.  The "pop" of the hot pink added an excitement to the formal white interior of the historic gallery.

Our lovely Scottish bride carried a hand tied bouquet of classic white mini calla lily, white ranunculus, white garden roses, and white hydrangea.

Each wedding is special to the Devers Group, and this wedding was no exception.  Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to create your once in a lifetime day.
